Mood board- Luxurious and elegant master bathroom!

I have always love the look of a fresh, eclectic and luxurious bathroom with a touch of elegance. So today, I thought it would be fun to create a moodboard to reflect that. First, I started with the classic white carrara marble subway tiles to convey a sense of timeless elegance and luxury. Next, I picked a rustic double sink console to add warmth and create contrast against the marble tiles. Then, I selected a pair of sleek, polished nickel rectangle mirrors, wall sconces, accessories and finally the mosaic hexagon tiles flooring to complete the look. What do you think of the results? Do you like it or otherwise? Your thoughts?

A product review and a giveaway- Scout By Bungalow travel bag!

A few days ago, I received this fabulous Scout Signature roller bag, a gift from the generous folks at Bungalow. Scout by Bungalow is a bag lovers paradise, offering tons of stylish and affordable bags, totes and more. From travel bags to organizing totes to storage bins, they have dozens of fun, chic, colorful designs and styles to choose from. I was ecstatic when one of their representatives told me I could pick anything to try from their website. With so many wonderful products and gorgeous designs to select from, I had a difficult time narrowing it down to just one product. I was absolutely torn between this backpack and the carry on roller bag. But in the end, I chose the carry on roller bag since I will be traveling during the holiday season. Out of the 10 beautiful and stylish patterns available, I selected the Scout Signature design because I love their overall classic look plus I have an adoration for dachshund silhouettes. Here is what my travel bag looks like:

Gorgeous, isn't it? It is water resistant and it easily wipes clean, one of my favorite features.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my bag and found the green interior lining. Green is my all time favorite color! It is quite roomy inside and there is also a zipper pocket to put in small items.

Check out the huge zipper pocket on the outside.

And it comes with a detachable shoulder strap that is fully adjustable.

This is how the roller bag looks like with the shoulder strap attached.

The telescoping handle (not adjusted to its full length yet).

The  built-in roller wheels.

Made with lightweight yet durable coated 100% cotton twill along with so many great features and a gorgeous exterior to boot, this product definitely surpass my expectations. I can't wait to travel in style with it during my vacation this coming December.

*Based on my honest and unbiased opinion.

Now, the fun part, the giveaway! This giveaway couldn't come at a more perfect timing because most of us will be travelling during the holiday seasons, yes? So, Bungalow decided to offer one of their travel bags, 'Hilary Duffle' (worth $75) to one of Mix And Chic readers. It comes in 9 fabulous and fun designs! Check this out:

Mood board- Modern baby nursery!

Personally, I really love the look of a modern nursery so I created one today in the form of a mood board for fun! I selected a whimsical wallpaper as my starting point and I continued to add the basics such as the baby crib, a changing station, a rocking chair, an ottoman and two pair of curtains. Next, I layered my room with accessories which included a persimmon striped rug, a light fixture, a floor lamp, some artwork, a cascading mobile, a side table, three floating shelves, a decorative pillow and an adorable elephant laundry hamper. A baby nursery is not complete without some toys so I added a doll and a rocking horse to the mix.

Overall, I wanted a modern, fun, stylish, cheery and whimsical baby nursery. What are your thoughts? Some of the pieces I picked in this room are low end and some are high end. Which piece do you think is the most expensive? And which item do you think is the least expensive?

Answer: The most expensive piece in this nursery is the adjustable light fixture, named Zoom Chandelier retailing at $1,700, designed by Floyd Paxton and the least expensive item is the pair of orange curtains, retailing at $20 per pair at Target.

Mood board- Traditional And Eclectic Dining Room!

I have created three mood boards previously but none of them were dining rooms so I decided to create one today. I first started with a slightly more traditional wallpaper, a chinoiserie style wallpaper with bird, aviary and branch details by Schumacher followed by a pair of matching red pagoda mirrors. I selected the pair of red pagoda mirrors because I wanted a pop or color in an unexpected way. Next, I came up with the salvaged wood dining table and the red French style dining chairs. Ideally, I wanted to have six dining chairs but obviously the mood board can only fit two, at the most but you get the idea. For the final touch, I added a couple more accessories to complete the final design and here it is.

A Traditional And Eclectic Dining Room

What do you think of the overall design? Do you like the color palette? I would love to hear your thoughts.

A product review and a giveaway- Cocopani designer beach umbrella!

Today, I am doing a product review for a beautiful beach umbrella courtesy of Cocopani.

Check out what I received in the mail a few weeks ago!

A Cocopani beach umbrella! This gorgeous umbrella comes with a matching carry bag. The carry bag is made with the same cotton canvas material as the umbrella. It's lightweight and absolutely a breeze to carry from one place to another. Plus, it provides an easy storage.

The interior of the umbrella.

With a height adjustment feature, this umbrella is perfect for a picnic at the park, at the deck or on the beach.

The material, although lightweight, is made of high quality cotton canvas. What I love most about this product besides the good quality is the size of it. The generous size of this umbrella is wonderful because I can fit my whole self in. I just love having the option of completely staying out of the sun when I am outdoor so I can read a magazine or take a short nap! Made with good quality materials in a generous size with a height adjustment feature and with six fabulous designs to choose from, this beach umbrella is a clear winner to me!* I can't wait to lounge in style underneath this beauty when I get a chance in the near future!

*I received this product to review for free but the views and opinions expressed are entirely our own.
