This gorgeous Palm Beach home belongs to British artist and designer Aldous Bertram. To make the most out of his plain 1970s tiny one-bedroom rental apartment, he decided to adorn his home with hand painting murals on almost every wall. The results? A charming and delightful muraled wonderland! Let's check it out, shall we?

How insanely talented is he? By incorporating hand painted murals featuring architectural details such as bricks and wall niches, a detailed mural inspired by antique Chinese wallpaper, painted tented ceilings and hand-stenciled ceilings in a caned pattern, he instantly creates visual interest and a sense of "wow factor" in his home. I love how he masterfully combines colors, patterns, artwork, rattan and chinoiserie pieces in an unexpected way for a cozy, lived-in and layered look. His beautiful paintings and his tented hallway are especially my favorites! Whimsical, imaginative and inspirational, what's not to love about this effortlessly chic and charming Palm Beach abode? Your thoughts?
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll I really need to know : Does he have to paint it back to plain when he leaves?
