Inside a bright and airy home with a classic modern flair!

This 1930s-era property in Houston River Oaks neighborhood belongs to a young couple with two small children. It has good bones such as crown molding, coffered ceilings and paned windows but it was dated. To transform their home into a stylish place for their growing family, they have enlisted designer Paloma Contreras for help. Let's check out the results of the makeover, shall we?

By incorporating a classic modern traditional approach, this home feels fresh, chic and collected. The combination of traditional furnishings with modern textiles and contemporary artwork creates a timeless yet updated look. Such a gorgeous and delightful tour, what's not to love? What do you think?

  1. I love how Paloma injected the contemporary features in the traditional home.
Using outdoor fabrics opened up the availability of white into a family home.
Accents of gold sealed the deal for me!!!!
