Inside a bright, beautiful and stylish family home!

After falling in love with a 1917 home nearby Mississauga, homeowner-designer Christen Irwin got to work and transformed it into a cozy and comfortable abode for her young family. Let's check out the results, shall we?

Such a bright and beautiful home, don't you think? A classic palette of black and white, neutrals and pops of color throughout the rooms is the key to this effortlessly stylish, cohesive and visually delightful abode! A combination of leather, wood, marble and organic accents creates a warm and interesting dynamic. She is definitely a pro when it comes to mixing traditional and contemporary pieces! Some of my favorite elements from this home are the gorgeous leather chairs from the living room, the herringbone slate floor tiles from the entryway, the wide plank oak flooring and the striking patterned floor tiles from the bathroom. Are you drawn to this fabulous residence as much as I do? Any thoughts?

  1. Fantastic use of blacks and whites. Timeless. The pops of color give the home life.
Love the gold accents and mix of textiles and patterns.

  2. Can't complain about anything in this home! Love the surprises with decor especially the bathroom's tub with photos behind and the herringbone gray/black tiles in the foyer. Are gray and black decors a fad? Only time will tell.

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate you taking the time to share with me your thoughts, ideas and suggestions. Your comments always, always brighten up my day! So, keep them coming. Have a beautiful day!
