A cozy and charming Georgia cottage!

This lovely 1915 Georgia home with a romantic English feel has had many owners. With many owners came many changes and additions so designer Shon Parker's mission is to unify everything by reconfiguring the rooms, redoing the floors, adding some beams and custom paneling to pull the design together. Plumbing and wiring were updated as well. After some major renovation, this 20th century home is completely transformed. Let's check out the results of this makeover, shall we?

The rustic wood beams, beautiful walnut panelings, wonderful vaulted ceiling and exposed bricks add so much charm and character to this Southern home. A mix of classic furnishings and modern elements is a great way to create a fresh and timeless space. There is a sense of warmth and history in this cozy home that makes it so inviting, don't you think? I am a fan of this charming cottage, what about you?

  1. Beautiful cottage! Two things: I wouldn't have the candle sconce directly over the couch's seating area--just in case of drips. And the saddle up on the railing looks very pretentious. Too styled for my taste. I like a 'lived in' look! Thank you for posting today.
