Sharing is Caring- #ShareABear with Snuggle Bear this National Teddy Bear Day!

Children love stuffed animal especially #teddy bears because they make them feel safe and secure. I remembered as a child, I never had any stuffed animal, let alone a teddy bear. Fortunately, I had a small body pillow to keep me company every night. I remembered how I secretly wished my parents would get me a teddy bear when I was a kid. The truth is, I came from a family with modest financial means so I don't blame them because toys were definitely a luxury back then.

Times have certainly changed for the better and many parents can afford to buy stuffed animals for their children. In fact, most children in this modern day and age have more stuffed animals than they ever needed! However, they are still many children in many parts of the world who have never owned a stuffed animal or a teddy bear their whole lives.

Realizing this and in honor of all the joy, companionship and comfort Teddy Bears can bring, Snuggle Bear is creating a #ShareABear movement in conjunction of September 9th, National Teddy Bear Day to show the world that something as small as gifting a teddy bear will brighten one's day! With that in mind, Snuggle Bear will be making the world a softer place by donating 5,000 teddy bears to children in need in the month of September (SeptemBEAR).

However, since Snuggle Bear can only spread the teddy bear magic so far, Snuggle is asking fans to help raise awareness of this special month by sharing your own memories, stories, photos or videos of your favorite teddy bear in your life using the hashtag #ShareABear on one of your social media channels during the entire SeptemBEAR.

For this campaign, I was given three Snuggle teddy bears to give away! I planned to give one Snuggle Bear to my son and donate the other two away but alas, my son found those bears one morning before I had a chance to surprise him! He loved them so much, so much so that he put the all the three Snuggle Bears on his bed! I didn't let him keep the three bears, of course. Unsurprisingly, the Snuggle bear became one of his most favorite stuffed animal!

Since I can't capture my son's excitement when he saw the Snuggle Bear for the first time, I have decided to create a short story on a video instead. Check this out!

Learn more and join the movement here. Don't forget to watch the National campaign video at Snuggle on #NationalTeddyBearDay, 9/9. Make the world a better, softer place by gifting someone a teddy bear today!
