What's your cleaning personality and a few spring cleaning tips!

Everyone approaches cleaning a little differently. Some take it seriously while others use cleaning as an excuse for a two hour dance party! With spring cleaning just around the corner, getting your home ready for spring is top of mind for many! From the “Social Butterfly” to the “Multitasker” to the “Perfectionist” what’s your favorite way to clean? Take the Bona Keep It Clean Personality Quiz as a fun way to look at your Bona Cleaning Personality

I love taking personality quizzes so I played along! Turned out I am a Social Butterfly (With a calendar as booked up as yours—it's no wonder you want cleaning to be quick and easy! You're working on your career, your love life, a new hobby and about 10 other things at any given time, thus cleaning generally happens before your family or friends come over to visit.) You can take your quiz here.

I am embarrassed to admit but the results are pretty spot on. I don't do a lot of deep cleaning on weekdays because the perfectionist in me wants to make sure every inch of space I intended to clean are thoroughly cleaned. Therefore, I tend to save the deep cleaning work on weekends when I don't have to cook so I can fully concentrate on my cleaning tasks the entire day.

Don't get me wrong. On weekdays, I still do small clean-ups like removing the grease off my kitchen stove and countertops after I made a meal, wiping the dining table clean after the dinner and picking up food crumbs and hair off the floor.

What about you? What type of cleaner are you? Are you a daily tidy-er or binge cleaner?

Speaking of cleaning, I have a few spring cleaning tips to share with you! I love to keep my cleaning basic and simple and these are my 3 must-haves!

1. Paper towels

2. Water

3. Toothpicks

Yes, you heard it right. Toothpicks!

I bought a big pack of toothpicks primarily for cleaning purposes. They are especially great for getting rid of dirt in those hard to reach places like nooks and crannies. I use them to remove dirt and grime on my windows, inside my microwaves, kitchen cabinet trims, stove top, refrigerators, vents, sinks, etc all the time along with paper towels.

Do you see the difference? Yep, toothpick is my secret weapon when it comes to cleaning a space thoroughly.

Now that the majority of the surfaces are taken care of, what about the floors? I love using my Bona Hardwood Floor Mop with my Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner to clean my floors! The cleaning solution dries quickly and leaves no residue behind. As a bonus, it's non-toxic, GREENGUARD certified to be safe and effective so it's safe for children and pets. The mop is pretty easy to use as well. You simply dispense the solution with a simple squeeze on the handle, can't get any simpler than that!

I always love taking things up a notch so I added Bona's Hardwood Floor Polish and Bona's Microfiber Applicator Pad to make my hardwood floors beautiful and extra shiny!

  1. Toothpicks?!!!! Smart lady! Haven't tried Bona, but will look into it! I usually use my used dryer sheets for wiping off everything, cheap and disposable!
