J. Crew's Jenna Lyons' Former Park Slope Townhouse- Then And Now!

I am sure by now, most of you are familiar with J.Crew creative director, Jenna Lyons' former home. Her stylish home was featured in Domino a few years ago and it became a cult favorite among interior design lovers! The images of her former home are widely recognized in the design blogosphere and has inspired many decorators worldwide.

Let's revisit her gorgeous home, shall we?

When she split from her former husband, she sold her beautiful Park Slope townhouse. The new homeowners enlisted help from Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, both former movie-set designers (known for their Steampunk-ish domestic and hotel interiors) to redecorate the place. The new decor is a far cry from its former interior. Let's check out the new interiors, shall we?

Now that you have seen the home's before and after, which do you find more appealing? While Jenna Lyons' design feels more youthful, modern and chic, the newer design looks cozier, more layered and collected. I thought both the before and afters couldn't be more different but they are equally fabulous, in my opinion. What about you? Do you prefer one over another?  I would love to hear your thoughts!

  1. Oh wow, they are really different looks! I love the first one the best; it is definitely my favorite. But the skull wallpaper in the bathroom of the second look is really calling my name! Wouldn't necessarily think it would be "me" but surprisingly I'm loving it!

  3. It is amazing how one space can look so different.... while they are both attractive living spaces I prefer Jenna Lyons style, its clean and I prefer the color palette, the latest version of the home seems very cluttered and a bit old fashioned .......although I liked the built in seating in the kitchen...

  4. Oh wow! That apartment is so gorgeous, I wanna throw up! I do love Jenna's style, but actually prefer the new version. I LOVE that they painted that rich chocolate brown all the way around. That right there, deserves its very own blog post! People are always thinking that ceilings HAVE to be white! Great post! x

  5. I prefer Jenna's decor! With the exception of the living space with the yellow couch, not my thing. That bathroom and kitchen are incredible!! Simple and chic. LOVE!
