Home tour- A budget-friendly Scandinavian style home!

Take a look at Style at Home style and food editor, Tara Ballantyne's 900-square-foot 1980's duplex home makeover for under $10,000- (and that included the construction of a new kitchen!) The result? A Scandinavian style home that's all her own!

Light, bright, warm and minimal, her home exudes a sense of  casual chic. The dining room is my favorite, I really love the way it was styled! Which room are you mostly drawn to?

  7. I love this little place!! So fresh and pretty! And I love that she did all the renovations on such a small budget. I really love the little sliver of a brick wall next to the kitchen- it gives so much character.
I'm contributing to a group giveaway this week Jessie- come check it out if you haven't yet! there's some great stuff up for grabs (including a pillow cover made by me! :)

  8. I think i like the kitchen best! But these days i'm really into white. If i could renovate my home now i would surely use white, black, gold and pink!

  9. Oh how lovely! There is something to swoon over in just about every room (locker, corner sofa, wishbone chairs, kitchen tiling, pallet bed base etc)! The dining room also happens to be my favourite too!

  11. This is a nice Scandinavian home but those tree stumps as coffee tables make nervous, on a purely practical level that is! The sofa looks so inviting and comfortable with those cushions and throws that lounging in it I'd be afraid of getting up in-case I knocked something off! I really love the styling in the dining too.
