Home tour- A stylish and updated Virginia barn!

Hold your breath, my lovelies, you are about to see the most stylish barn! Designed by one of my favorite designers, Steven Gambrel, this Virginia barn is transformed into a large entertaining space. His inspiration for the bold and unexpected colors came from the two drawings of a jockey in the family's collection. He even designed the interior barn doors and stair railings to mimic the X-pattern from the drawings. Let's take a look.

I think this is the most stylish barn I have seen. I am most inspired when a designer took a risk in his/her designs and came up with something unexpected and gorgeous. This barn feels warm, inviting, fresh and updated. Do you like Steven's use of unconventional colors against the rustic neutral tones approach? What are your thoughts?

  10. This is fantastic! I love all things equestrian, but our barn certainly doesn't look like that..how fun it would be to turn ours into a studio or guest house! Horses rule- this won't happen any time soon! Enjoy your day!
