Designer Mimi William's elegant Buckhead home is a reflection of her sophisticated and exquisite taste. Who knew that many of the pieces you saw from the pictures above are from her older home? If you have moved homes before, you would know how some pieces work in one space but not the other? It really takes someone with a lot of talent and creativity to make old pieces work seamlessly in a new place, in my opinion.
I don't know about you but I am swooning over each and every piece of furniture and accessories in this beautiful home. Those custom Louis chairs in the dining room, the white leather French bed, the small sofa in the breakfast nook and the desk in the home office are absolutely gorgeous! Which pieces are you drawn to?
Jessie, as I write this I have the August 2011 Atlantic Homes & Lifestyle issue next to me! Your pictures made me search for my issue! I loved the piece the first time around and am enjoying my "voyage" again. I was thrilled the first time I saw this article because in the Bedroom Mimi displays four Chinese white bronze tribal necklaces. I have ONE that my son and DIL gave me for Christmas a few years ago. I love it and display it in the shelving wall surrounding our fireplace. It is a treasure! I love the spaces Mimi has created. The 1960 desk! It was made for F.W. Woolworth and features a French lacquered surface set on a Lucite base. Thank you so much, Jessie, for reminding me of this, I am going to enjoy rereading and studying each page.
