Home tour- A celebration of beauty and glamour!

This 1970s Toronto home belongs to tastemaker Colette van den Thillart, a creative director for London's NH Design (and design icon Nicky Haslam's right hand gal). She wants her home to exudes a sense of flamboyance and grandeur but with a family of four, it was meant to be casual and comfortable too. Let's take a tour of this beautiful home and see how she created a relaxed home with a touch of glamour.

Using a mix of casual comfortable furniture and classic elegant pieces, her home feels fresh and inviting. Do you like this home? What are you mostly drawn to?

  1. Jessie I am drawn to this home, not that I would choose everything that she has, but that I can appreciate the attention to detail and that is a definite look and feel that tells a story about the owner. Great design should tell a story. Happy Weekend, Kathysue

  2. Hi Jessie

What a beautiful home. I love many aspects: the bath-tub, the incredible triptych on the fireplace.
The personal object throughout that make a home

  3. What a great house! I love the country kitchen with those curtains. That is one of my favorite fabrics that they used. Also, the fun Headboards in the bedrooms are great.

  4. I think is it beautiful. Love the bookcases in the study, all of the wonderful draperies, the to die for bathtub, and the soothing lavender in the master. Even her umbrella is chic...

  8. I think this home is gorgeous. I love everything about it. My favorite rooms have to be the living room with the floral accent chairs and the soft lavender bedroom.
    Thanks for sharing, Jessie!

  11. Does anyone know where the fabric (the white with royal blue flowers) from the chairs in the first pic is from? I am dying to know! It's perfect. Love the entire house.
