Although having her mother-in-law as her decorating mentor, Claiborne was no stranger to the world of interior design either. She has grown up in homes decorated by the legendary designer Thomas Britt, and old family friend (and her godfather). While she had been influenced by Britt's sense of scale, color and texture, she envisioned a more casual environment for her first apartment with her husband.
Beautifully decorated, this stylish and eclectic home feels fresh and inviting. The mix of textures, patterns and colors makes this apartment interesting and captivating. Are you captivated by any of the rooms above? What are you particularly drawn to?
Beautiful...but how tight is that kitchen...looks hard to open the oven doors. Like the dining room though.

ReplyDeleteI'm really loving the splashes of color in the first picture (especially that leopeard print). Some of the new luxury homes I've been looking at this weekend had a drab feel and these designs can really work that magic into a new home.
