Cool designer alert- Barry Dixon!

Featuring talented interior designer, Barry Dixon. Based in the Virginia countryside near Washington, DC, Barry Dixon has taken his own brand of warmly hospitable Southern design style to projects around the world. Spending his childhood in exotic locales such as India, South Africa and French Polynesia, his work is influenced by global perspective. An accomplished designer, his work is featured in countless major decor magazines as well as continuous television appearances spurring the success of his furniture line, a fabric collection, a rug collection and a new book. According to Barry's design philosophy, "Successful design emanates a feeling, not just a look. In the best instances, the effect is a magical aesthetic harmony that is not initially surprising, at least not jolting. Upon inspection or reflection, however, the effect is cleverly unexpected, bridging past with present by bringing the best of history with us into the future." Now, let's take a look at some of his amazing work.

The Designer: Barry Dixon

His design style is definitely classically elegant, and with a fresh approach. Along with a few thoughtful and surprising details, his incredible vision and talents produce harmoniously beautiful interiors. What are your thoughts?

  5. So stunning! I especially love his use of small scaled patterns layered together! And those amazing upholstery details (the iron ring pulls on the chairs in the first shot or the nail head pattern on the ottoman!) So creative!

  9. He is one of my favorite designers. He does truly client driven design, but manages to maintain his identifiable touch on a project. That is real talent.
