Each of her interpretation from the books seems to be quite accurate, I must say. I am absolutely blown away and inspired by the interiors she designed. Her choice of color palette and the craftsmanship displayed are beyond incredible!
I can envision her designs translated in a school, a playroom or a kid's bedroom. For all the talented and experienced DIYers out there, are you inspired by her work? Would you attempt something like this for your child's room? My favorite project is 'Cafeteria'. Which is yours?
Very cool indeed - I LOVE the moomin's we have read them all our lives here in Denmark. I am with you on the cafeteria bit - the pic with the yellow umbrellas - goorgeous:) Have a great weekend Jessie,

Hello Jessie!
ReplyDeleteI must say, I 've never seen anything like this before. The "Children's play hall" is my favourite project. I think I would attempt it only if I knew I had a lot of help.
Have a nice weekend!
Maria is incredibly talented! I'll definitely be sharing this with my daughter. She's in her third year of university to become a school teacher, and she's always exploring creative ways to inspire kids.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend, Jessie!

Jessie,
ReplyDeleteSorry I have not been visiting all week - just been too busy! But today I am catching up with my favorite blogs.
Ok, I grew up with Tove Janson's books so to me this is heavenly! Very nicely put together and wonderful for young and old! They should put that cafeteria in an arts museum.
Happy weekend favorite Jessie.

I totally agree with you about these works. They are creative and beautifully crafted.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so cool and so much fun. Don't think I could pick a fave!! xo
ReplyDeleteLove that cafeteria room too! The yellow umbrellas are so cheerful and whimsical. I would love to reinterpret these into a nursery or children's bedroom.
ReplyDeleteWOWZA. Those rooms are so visually stunning and so unique! So amazing...and just the color palettes in those rooms are fantastic...I'm now thinking about that shades of blue with pops of mustard yellow...delicious!
