Decorating with clocks!
I have always love clocks. The bigger, the better. Using clocks as decor are very popular among designers and design enthusiasts because they are so dramatic and charming. Whether it is an oversized clock or a grouping of smaller clocks, they create great focal points. They also make a huge design statement especially when they are used in a living room above the fireplace mantel, on an empty wall above the sofa, above a console table in an entryway, above the bed, etc. Clocks are very versatile because they can be incorporated in many decor styles such as traditional, eclectic, country, transitional, etc. Let's check out these gorgeous clocks below for some inspirations!

ReplyDeleteI love the giant clocks! I don't think I've EVER thought a clock was too big. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post Jessie! I was just moaning about how uninspired I felt and you have just inspired me! I love the clock in the first picture the most (only problem is that the guy hates the ticking noise of clocks so we have to take the batteries out of them and just use them for decoration!)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the clocks! It reminds me of paris for some reason! hehe

Ok, no 2! It has my name on it!
ReplyDeleteI used to import lovely Swedish antiques but I have yet to invest in an old Swedish (simple gray) floor clock. I have always wanted one!
Happy new week to you!
Warm hugs,
Mon
Love this! The gallery wall of clocks is my fave!
ReplyDeleteLove the oversized clocks in a kitchen and this may have been the push I needed...great images!!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I think the first one is quite an amazing piece. I think just one clock would do me just fine.. living in a society where our lives are ruled by time, always on the clock, I would not be able to live with an entire wall of them (even as fun decorative items). Great post!
ReplyDeleteLove the huge vintage clocks ... especially tin clocks - so unique!

What fun this post is Jessie! And while it isn't a clock, I am rather smitten with that colourful credenza below the giant clock...so many wonderfully coloured drawers, and I bet it tells a fabulous history story too. Virginia x
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love all of the above images. They all show such fun ways to display unusual clocks. Great post, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty, Jessie! I went in the opposite direction and just bought an adorable old bakelite plug in clock for my guest bedroom. I just love it! I also have a vintage cuckoo clock I want to paint white!
ReplyDeleteI love large clocks. One day when I have a bigger space, I will get one. ;)
ReplyDeleteI do love those giant clocks but I always wonder where people buy them. Can't say I've ever come across one of those in a store.
ReplyDeleteClocks are such a cool element to a room, especially a show stopper like those huge clocks (c: The clock collages are awesome I think that will be my next project...clocks and maps always get me!
ReplyDeleteI usually neglect clocks in a room but these are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI really like some of these clocks? Can I please have the links so I can buy them? Thanks!
