Cool designer alert- Emily Henderson!

Featuring talented designer, Emily Henderson, the winner of HGTV's Design Star's fifth season of the HGTV reality competition series. Raised in rural Oregon, Portland, Emily moved to New York City and studied design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn after graduating from the University of Oregon. Before joining the design competition, she worked as a design consultant with several world-renowned designers and stylists. Eventually, Emily's talent and style led her to start her own business as a prop, lifestyle and tabletop designer. She was also an in-demand photo-shoot stylist for top lifestyle and design publications and national retailers. Now, as a winner of HGTV's design star, she host her own HGTV show called Secrets From A Stylist. Let's take a look at some of her gorgeous work below.

The designer: Emily Henderson

What do you think of Emily's style? Personally, I enjoyed her gorgeous work because her designs are a perfect mixture of vintage, modern, classic, traditional and contemporary, sometimes with a touch of the unexpected. Her eclectic style makes each rooms she designs look very beautiful and interesting. Her design is such that you do not see everything at once but every single item unfolded itself slowly to reveal its beauty. And that to me, is great design. Any favorite rooms?

  23. I really love that she's not afraid to use timber in all her rooms, even the glamorous ones. As much as I love painted furniture I miss seeing rooms that have at least one piece of natural timber and she incorporates it perfectly every time!
