Home tour- A modern, playful and quirky TriBeCa town house!

This six-floor, 15,500 square foot TriBeCa town house is owned by Paige West, a contemporary-art expert and her husband, a real estate developer JC Keeler with whom they shared with their three young boys, a 5-year-old and 3-year-old twins.

It was Keelar who discovered a 1915 warehouse on a busy street in TriBeCa, near City Hall, and decided to turn the crumbling building into a home for his family. The family lives on the top four stories, with a green roof accessible via a ladder. On the lower levels, there is a separate guest duplex.

Both the architecture and decor engage in a playful dialogue with the artwork, from the Styrofoam tower rising through the center of the stairwell to the murals in the boys' room. Now, let's take a tour of this gorgeous and whimsical home.

What do you think of this home? Do you mind living in a home like this? Personally, I love this modern and colorful home and don't mind staying here at all. Although some might find this home a little cartoonish and childish, I found it to be very inspiring with so many touches of whimsy, color, playfulness and quirkiness. It is such a happy and cheery home where I would feel like a kid again! With a home like this, I am sure it will continuously spark my creativity and ignites my boundless imagination. With that said, my favorite rooms are the vibrant kitchen and the room with the fun, black and white striped walls. And I think all their artwork are fantastic, too. Do you have a favorite room? Is there anything that catches your eyes?

  2. That lamp in the 12th photo down made me think they'd skinned cookie monster.

There's an incredible sense of play. It feels very Dutch in that regard. Out of all the photos, my favorite is the first room. It's airy without feeling empty.

  3. This home is AMAZING! Every room is different and more creative than the next. My favourite is the entry way, love the polka dots and the orange and the chandelier is of course completely divine and adds a touch of the traditional decor that I crave in any modern setting. Great post Jessie. Always love your posts! xx Anastasia

  5. I am intrigued by all these (especially the sheep on the green carpet), but not sure I would want to live this way (OK, let's be honest, I would not want to live there). But, I would love to know the person who does (or decorated it). I bet they are so interesting. M.

  6. I love the whimsy in this house. There are so many touches that caught my eye. I love the cloud neon lights hanging in the bathroom. I love the black desk with the pop of green at the bottom of the stool legs and the lamp base, so simple and so clever!! Kathysue

  7. First off, 15,500 sq ft of anything in NYC is amazing in of itself. I really like the placement of the plate collection (6th image down), how it seems to wrap the corner.

  12. Wow that left me without words...there are many things i like, artwork, paintings, colors, scottie dog, entryway, plates on the wall, lamps but many things I dislike the wall painting in the nursery, so cold and distand, the puppet in the vintage mirrorframe gives me chuckie flashbacks. But I do like that this house gives people an opinion and that the owners decorated it according to their taste.

  14. Wow that must be the biggest house in Tribeca!! HUGE! I like it, its not my personal style but I love the upbeat, colorful fun playful interiors. It looks like a happy house. All that busy pattern on the walls however would give me a chronic headache and I like nurseries that feel peaceful and serene, that one is a little too loud for me but an interesting space for sure!!

  15. What a wild house! I love how playful and 'alive' it feels. Like a film set with a real 'story' happening in every room.

Love the sheep in the living room. So cute!
