"For us, boring is death; we want the eye to be constantly engaged, "explains Nixon. "Wallpaper is a simple tool for taking you to another place,"says Locke. "The goal is to give you sort of an escape."
I agree with their statements that wallpaper helps to transport you to another place and give you an escape. Personally, I think their home is beautiful, eclectic and inviting. I just love how they used color and pattern fearlessly and how everything still looks pull together despite several combinations of entirely different colors and patterns. These duo are definitely masters of patterns and colors.
My favorite rooms of theirs are the blue den and the bedroom. For me, I can see myself living in homes like these although I personally do not have the guts to go as bold with my own home interiors. What are your thoughts? Are you turned off by their designs? Do you think it is a little overwhelming? Can you live with these designs? I would love to know.
That first house looks like it belongs in Harry Potter!!!! I would move there in a heartbeat.

Wow! My mind is boggling....As much as I love colours and patterns- I think I would tire of them living here. But I do appreciate their efforts, this place is definitely original! And that bedroom is adorable! Thanks for sharing Jessie. xo anastasia

ReplyDeleteI love this Jessie! Especially the shower! Every single, crazy color combination is beautiful! This is the kind of knowledge about color I want to achieve! I want to be able to make the wildest combinations work. These rooms are work of genius! Thank you for sharing! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteWow- they are colorful, creative with their home! My favorites are the wallpaper in the master bedroom and green/white stripes on the living room floors. It might be too much color and pattern for me, but I love that they went for it and didn't hold back! :)
ReplyDeleteWow-pattern overload! I love to look at it, but I definitely don't think I could live with it myself...thanks for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen anything like this! That shower is really cool...love the green!

WOW-I love how this space is right on the edge of "too much" but somehow manages to work! I'm not sure if I could live in an entire space like this but I think to showcase their unique style it is *perfect.

Hiya Jessie! :) Concerning my new name Piipuna; I never liked the name blurry bright. It was a random pick when I was creating the blog and as I feel like I'm getting into this whole blog thing I wanted a name that I believe can live for a long time. "Piipuna" is just a figure/word of my imagination (as far as I know), but I hope it'll become something more as I go along with it. I want it to represent a style, a mood, a vibrant touch and life. Long life. I want it to represent me, in time. I mean for it to be pronounced with only one "i" so the pressure is on the u. I should probably write ú. Or is it ù? :p Anyways, hope you get what I mean :) xxx
ReplyDeleteit looks like flowers thru up...but, I LOVE IT!!!
