When it comes to interior decorating, I love every style as long as it is tastefully done. Besides the classically beautiful decor, I also appreciate designs that are gorgeous with touches of the unconventional, some playfulness and the unexpected. Take this Roxbury, Connecticut home below for example. It was a farmhouse and a barn- both constructed in the 19th century, joined in the 20th and surrounded by fields. Instead of the usual predictable mix of rustic furniture and folk art, the new property owners, a New York couple with a teenage daughter and son along with a serious contemporary art collection, they opted for something modern and a house that feels like a playhouse. Now, let's take a look at their home below.

Personally, I love this rustic and modern gorgeous home. My favorite element about this home includes the colorful area rugs, the cheerful color schemes and the different play areas- which are perfect for some family fun and guest entertaining.
This place is very playful! I can't help but associate the living room and library areas with something Jonathan Adler would design. Those carpets and all those pops of orange just reminds me of JA. Anyone else feel that way?? Such a great place :) xx anastasia
