Gorgeous artwork alert-by Janet Hill Studio!

I have always love art. Remember this post where I talked about how art can create an impact in our space and evokes emotion? And during my search for beautiful yet inexpensive artwork for my own home, I came across these gorgeous art prints by the very talented artist, Janet Hill, the owner of Janet Hill Studio, based in Canada. I loved how she paid a lot of attention to minute details and her use of gorgeous color combinations in all her artworks. Her work incorporates many of the things we girls love for example, shoes, fashion, desserts and yes, even stylish home decor! Now, let's take a look at some of my favorites:

'The House Across The Bay'

'Hot Chocolate'

'A Portrait Of Ms Frost'

'Puddings'

'Umbrella Drinks'

'Nothing Phased Norma'

'Croque Monsieur'

'Grasshopper'

'The Butterfly Chair'

'The Poison Apple'

'Black Coffee And A Blueberry Muffin'

'Francine And Her Frenchie'

'The Columnist'

'The Himalayan'

'The Elephant And The Dancing Girl'

'Snow White'

'The Leaning Tower Of Croquembouche'

'Paige Reads Peyton Place'

'The Grace Kelly Purse'

'Paige In A Green Dress'

'The Ladybugs Love Chocolate'

'Dancers'

'Deck The Heels'

'The Maiden Voyage'

'The Poodles Adore Pastries'

'Saturday Morning At Pemberley Flat'

All her artworks are so amazing I couldn't resist just posting a few examples. What do you think about her work? Do you find it beautiful or too girly for your taste? Which one is your favorite?

  3. MBL, you have seen her work around? I guess she must be really popular then. I only discovered her lately. :)

Anya, I agree with you. Her art makes me happy, too. It must be the colors she used and also the subjects she chose to paint. :)

  5. Great choices, Brooke. If I had to pick just one, I would pick the first one 'House Across The Bay'. Something about that piece makes me smile, I think it has all my favorite elements, the color green (my favorite color) found on the leaves and grass, the whimsical (the animals), furniture (the red gorgeous turfed sofa), decor (lanterns), the indoor-outdoor feeling which I loved (it's an upgraded version of my childhood fantasy oasis) and the unexpected element (the tiny house across the bay). I guess I just love things with lots of interesting details. :)
