Cool designer alert- Kara Mann!

Some of you might have heard or already very familiar about this very talented designer from Evanston, IL, Kara Mann. For those who might not be familiar, her interiors are often gutsy with an eclectic mix of modern and the traditional, often merging her background in fashion, art and design. Her work and her showroom have appeared in highly-regarded publications such as Metropolitan Home, The New York Times, Western Interiors and Design and The Chicago Tribune. Now, let's take a peek at some of her amazing work.

Personally, I love her combination of the modern with the classics, elegant with the sophisticated, sometimes edgy with the unexpected and of course, her talents in turning every interior into something so effortlessly chic and gorgeous. What are your thoughts on her work and her interiors? Do you like her design style?

  1. Pics 4, 6, 7, 9, and 14,15,16 are my favorites. I love the light fixture in 7 in the kitchen.

Hope you have a beautiful day tomorrow(today).

P.S. Yes, you are obviously incredibly nice. Especially with the Sound of Music being a favorite. ;)

  2. I love the 6 small tables pushed together to make one big coffee table in one of the living rooms!
My babies are 5 months. How old is your son? I do the same, write poems for family and mostly my husband. My poems are really funny and "Dr Seuss-like"...not anything that would get published, but they rhyme really well and are so fun to write! :)

  3. I'm really liking her designs and her use of natural hues.. I'm loving that pop of colour provided by James Nares's painting in image 9 too. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.. your blog is gorgeous! x anastasia
